1) About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of rbmates.com (the “Site”) and participation in our Alpha Pilots program. By using the Site or joining Alpha Pilots, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

 

2) Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Site and Alpha Pilots are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions).

 

3) Your information
To join our mailing list, you may provide your first name and email. To join Alpha Pilots, you may optionally pledge $1 (or local equivalent) and provide a Discord username so we can invite you. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for securing your accounts.

 

4) Alpha Pilots ($1 optional pledge)
What it is: a private Discord community with sneak peeks, quick polls, feedback loops, and a direct line to our dev team.
Access: after you submit your email, you may optionally pledge $1 to be invited. Access may take a short time while we verify payment and send the Discord invite.
Benefits: community access, behind‑the‑scenes updates, polls, and a go‑live alert when Kickstarter opens. Benefits are discretionary and may change.
Not a purchase/investment: the pledge is not a product pre‑order, donation to a charity, equity, or a guarantee that the Kickstarter will launch or succeed.
Refunds: Fully refundable.
Conduct: follow Discord’s terms and our community rules. No harassment, hate speech, spam, leaks of confidential materials, or illegal content. We may suspend or remove access to protect the community.
Third‑party: Discord is a third‑party service with its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for Discord outages or changes.

 

5) Emails about Kickstarter & updates
By submitting your email, you consent to receive updates about our future Kickstarter campaign and related news. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

 

6) Payments
Pledges are processed by a third‑party payment processor We do not store full card numbers. Your use of the processor is subject to their terms and privacy policy. Currency conversion or bank fees may apply.

7) Intellectual property
All content on the Site (text, images, logos, videos, code) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law.
ROBOMATE® is our registered trademark. You may not use our marks without prior written permission.

8) Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site or community. Prohibited behavior includes: reverse engineering, scraping at scale, injecting malware, infringing IP, or interfering with Site security or operations.

 

9) Third‑party links & services
The Site may link to third‑party services (e.g., Discord, Kickstarter). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability.

 

10) Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and Alpha Pilots are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

11) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for: (a) indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; (b) loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill; or (c) aggregate damages exceeding the greater of $10 or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or for death/personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion would be unlawful.

 

12) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

 

13) Changes to the Site or Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use means you accept the changes.

 

14) Suspension/termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or Alpha Pilots for suspected violations, abuse, or security risks.

 

15) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
