Robomates (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates rbmates.com (the “Site”). We design and build tabletop gaming robots and related community experiences.

• Form data: first name and email address you submit on the Site.
• Alpha Pilots (optional): $1 pledge status and your Discord username (to invite you).
• Transactional data: payment confirmation details from our payment processor. We do NOT store full card numbers.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and cookies (see Cookie Notice below).
• Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support, moderation).
3) How we use your data
• Kickstarter updates & news (with your consent): to email you about our upcoming Kickstarter campaign, product news, early-bird alerts, and special offers.
• Alpha Pilots access (contract): to process the optional $1 pledge, verify access, invite you to our private Discord, run polls, and share behind‑the‑scenes updates.
• Operations & security (legitimate interests): to run, protect, and improve the Site (analytics, debugging, abuse/fraud prevention).
• Legal & compliance (legal obligation): to keep appropriate business, tax, and accounting records and to enforce our Terms.
4) Legal bases (UK/EU)
• Consent: sending you marketing emails; placing non‑essential cookies.
• Contract: providing Alpha Pilots access and related benefits after you pledge.
• Legitimate interests: site security, basic analytics, preventing abuse/fraud, measuring campaign interest (balanced against your rights).
• Legal obligation: tax and accounting record‑keeping for pledges.
5) Sharing your data
We share data with service providers acting on our instructions, including:
• Email service provider (to send newsletters and updates).
• Payment processor (e.g., Stripe or PayPal) for $1 pledges.
• Discord (to operate the Alpha Pilots community).
• Hosting/CDN & website tools (e.g., Cloudflare, Framer, Ghost) to operate the Site.
We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights/safety, or as part of a merger/acquisition/reorganization.
6) International transfers
Some providers may be located outside the UK/EU. Where required, we use safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses and conduct transfer risk assessments.

• Alpha Pilots & transactions: typically 7 years for financial records (or as required by law).
